Journal-#25

I experimented with monochromatic colors on this spread.  I used Liquidtex deep magenta and red orange fluid acrylics along with some white.  At the beginning, the background was yellow and magenta and then I glued down some collage papers.  After that, more gesso.  I used some gold and orange watercolors to brighten the dullness of the white gesso.  I drew the basic sketch with a graphite pencil.  Then I painted over that with different shades of the two colors mixed with white.  More graphite at the end to accent the lines.  I know it probably needs more contrast and the angel has no shoulders  but I decided to leave it as it is.  🙂

I love this journal spread. These to combination of colors are always pleasing together. Love the angel–she didn’t need the shoulders. She is wonderful as is.

The colors in this spread are so gorgeous! And I really like the white against the intense color. It was fun seeing all your journal pages today. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your nice comment.
