I have taken a longer break from the net than I intended…it just happened. I had one or two people (family members) ask me about my blog. I thought I’d post again just for them 🙂
We have a new dog at our house. She’s a little rescue dog. Her name is Taffy. This photo of her was taken about a month ago:
She is a lot of fun and I think she’s very happy to have found her forever home.
We miss our Rottie but he wasn’t a traveler. We’ve been on several little jaunts since she’s been here and she is proving to be an excellent traveler.
A few weeks ago we went to Hot Springs (Arkansas). We enjoyed our two days there. Lots of fall color to see. Hot Springs is the oldest park (1832) in the US national park system.
While we were in Hot Springs, we went to a restaurant named “The Purple Cow.” I used part of a brochure I picked up(for collage) while we visited the restaurant. The man was already on the page, I drew his lady friend. Here’s what I did with it:
The book I’m altering is a book of cartoons (Let’s Boogie) by James Stevenson. I think it was published in the 1960’s or 70’s. Here are two ink drawings on the first two pages. I love this FW Indigo ink!
Big flower with inks and markers:
I’ll finish with three more pages…the last one is a work in progress:
I have some sketchbook pages but I’ll save that for another day.
Let me know if you missed me 🙂
