…mid week

“The creation continues through the media of man.”  ~Antonio Gaudi~

This week’s lessons in the workshop, “Studying Under the Masters, ” was taught by Junelle Jacobsen.   The artist she picked for us to apprentice under this week is Antonio Gaudi.  I was pleased to find out about his work.  He was an architect and worked with ceramics, stained glass and all kinds of metal work.  His work is fascinating.  He liked curved lines…here’s an example of his work here.  I still have two more videos to watch from this week’s workshop lessons.

Zorana  is teaching this week at the “Soul Food” workshop over at Community Thrive.  I love her birds and angels.  She has several videos on You Tube.

I finished four more 4×4’s today.  I thought I’d go ahead and post them.  All the little bumps in the photos are caused from some really old gesso:

I also spent some time this week playing with Sumi Ink and a brush.  These will be used as collage fodder:

These 4x4s have a Van Gogh feel to them, but that might just be me.
