ICADs and journal page…

A quick post.  It’s been a busy day…it’s my hubby’s birthday.  He requested a pineapple upside down cake.  I just took it out of the oven and flipped it (after waiting 5 minutes) and it looks great.  We’ll try it after we get back from eating at our favorite restaurant. Tammy at Daisy Yellow is hosting ICAD.  It’s not to late to join in….just start!

ICAD 18 is mainly magazine collage with a little Sharpie Pen action:

ICAD 19 is a quick sketch using my Pentel Pocket Brush Pen:

ICAD 20 is a doodle drawing using a Sharpie Marker:

ICAD 21 is painted paper collage with a face drawn on a piece of deli paper…(her eyes are a little scary looking):

This photo is a journal page.  I covered the page with collage pieces first. I’ve had this background made for weeks…I couldn’t figure out what to do next.  I used a thin wash of white paint to tie all the pieces together.  Then I drew the shapes.  I used Letreset Markers and acrylic paint along with gel pens for writing and mark making.

Lovely cards – the blue bird is my absolute favourite – I love adding birds to my artwork, and I also love the noughts and crosses – really interesting design and shapes of the symbols. The woman is fab too – I love the colour scheme.

What wonderful cards. My fave is the deli-paper woman – even the sound of that is fun. And I want to thank you for planting the idea of a pineapple upside cake. Yum.

Cool cards. Love #18 especially; Magazine snippets seem made for this sort of thing. I could layer on a good deal of them in one shot. BAM, and onto the next one!

LOL.With #21, I like how her eyes are glowing. Feel like she’s a shapeshifter about to transform.

My blog reading has fallen horribly behind! I did not appreciate how just behind until now, though the number of unread posts are climbing!

I have always wanted to make an upside down cake. I think thar moment of flipping it must be quite magical.

I love all your cards, all the different styles. I am now also wondering where my pocket brush pen is. I have not seen it for a while, I hope the children have not borrowed it!!

Love all the layers and symbols on your journal page as well. Gorgeous page.
