I finished one of my altered book journals last week. I’ll post photos of those below. I also joined 21 Secrets earlier this week. I had told myself I wouldn’t get involved in anymore online workshops(for at least 6 months)…that resolve didn’t last very long 😀 Check out Connie’s blog at Dirty Footprints Studio . The workshops opened the first day of April and closes in the fall and consist of 21 mini workshops by 21 different artists.
Both collages have parts of the original book page showing. The illustrations at the top of the second piece are showing “Three Possible Kinds of Space.”
Nice collages. Love the bits of pen markings…..thanks for the visit to my blog. I will be back! xox

I like the idea of using a book as a collage journal. Gives an interesting ready made effect to the pages.

I like these collages and the fact that you used some of the original book art.
Let me know what you think of 21 Secrets. I’ve been thinking about it for a while now.

I have that problem with classes too but at least you keep up with yours. I have a huge back log to get through. Lol. Very lovely journals as always.

Your collages look great and I really enjoy that the text is showing through and think that books make wonderful art journals.
I must admit I have been tempted by the 21 Secrets as well … I still need to get back to Misty Mawn’s fabulous Face to Face on line class.
Wishing you and yours a lovely weekend!
