This past week has been a busy one….my husband and myself are finding that more and more of our time is spent helping to care for elderly parents….both of our mothers.
I finished a doodle page in my journal. I used a Sharpie fine point marker over the page that had gesso with watercolors over that. I followed some of the lines in the paint. I also tried out different kinds of pens for my face drawings.
I have also been researching sewing machines this week. I have decided that the best choice for me is the Janome Magnolia 7318 machine. It is a mechanical machine, by that, it means that it isn’t a computerized machine. They have some wonderful machines out there that do all sorts of magic, from embroidery to decorative stitching. One makes over 60 decorative stitches. The Janome machine that I’m looking at only does 18 different stitches….that’s plenty for me 😀
Oh….and I signed up to take part in a round robin journal swap….more about that later.
love your art, I have a bernia mechanical and have had for many years, I love it, it does just what I want, I to know what you mean about looking after elderly parents, I looked after my Mother until she passed away

Sorry to hear about both of your mothers. Can’t wait to see what you do with the sewing machine.

Sending good thoughts your way regarding your mothers. I don’t know much about sewing machines. I have a Singer that I’ve had for years. It’s just a basic machine and that’s all I need.
Love the new journal page! Great colors.
