Pushing the Envelope

Many months ago I took an online class by Patty over at Rambling Rose (http://ramblingrose.typepad.com/journal/) called the Pushing the Envelope .  It is an ongoing class.  Here are a few pages from the book I made for my grandaughter…it was my first attempt at stitching a book together.  The pages of the book are comprised entirely out of security envelopes.   I’m still adding embellishments to some of the pages.  Click on the photos to enlarge them.

hi, just found your blog. i’m enjoying your work, and the variety. moleskine #14 was a great page, and loved your doodles.

these collages are so interesting. my fave is the last image, left side.

Your pages look so good. I took that class, too but every time I try to sew my pages I tear them. What’s your secret??

I was lucky…it was my try at doing anything like that. I didn’t do it correctly if you saw the spine you’d see what I’m talking about 🙂

I love all these pages but my favorite is the red “dorothy” shoes peeking out with her cute little dog.

I love what you did with these. I saved a bunch and only did one journal page before recycling several. 😦

Oh, this is wonderful! I love mail art and I love how you are taking this to another level by stitching them in a book together – what a FAB idea, Kristin xo
