Moleskine-#14

I sketched this face almost two weeks ago and today I decided to alter her a bit.  I used a variety of old texts plus  music bits from an old songbook.  Then I used acrylic paints…black, moss green and white, to paint a background.  The background turned out a little darker than I planned,  so,  I used the title of the song “June Night”  from the page where I tore the music pieces.  I outlined all the paper elements with a Micron pen to give them more definition.

Movie recommendation:  Everything Is Illuminated

Well, this is just SO cool! I really love the portrait with text/hair, something I would have never thought to do–excellent creativity!

Love the hair! And I think the background looks good with just that touch of color.
