Valentine Card From The Past

I found this old Valentine post card among my  collection of old post cards.  The date stamp on the back of the card says Feb 12, 1909. The card was sent from Wilmington, Ohio,  to a Russell Clevenger in Wilmington.  The person who sent the card didn’t sign their full name but wrote the initials: HFM.  If Wilmington was a small town, I’m sure that HFM didn’t want the entire town to know anything she might write to Russell.  I have been reflecting on these two people who lived 101 years ago…what a different world it was then.

Thank you for your kind words and moral support. I am wrapped up in a circle of Love and with the doctor’s loving hands I will be back to a renewed health soon. I loved my surprise Valentine from my Ken. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

I just love this old stuff–I can’t wait for the flea markets–they start in April. and I think we have an antique show either in March or April–it’s local and a good one–we usually have to go about 100 miles for a decent one.
