More Sketches

I worked on some more sketches today.  After using the Suzi formula on the first one or two, I started doing my own thing.  The sketch showing the face turned to one side was drawn while looking at a picture.  I would like to turn one or two of these into paintings.  This class is turning out to be a great discipline for me…if anyone is wondering about it, I would highly recommend the class.

I like the one third from bottom best. ^^ I just love the shading and the head tilt.

You’re really doing some great faces. I like the one turned slightly to the side. Keep ’em coming!

I like the first one very much and the side one – I’m doing the doll, not the goddess class, but I haven’t been able to turn a face yet. No wonders, though 😀

I have thought many times about taking Suzi’s class, so this is great information for me. I absolutely love your sketch of the head that’s cocked to one side. She looks like a ballerina. I wanted to thank you for your kind remarks on my blog; you have no idea how much that kind of feedback inspires me. I also wanted to answer your question about the paint I use. I use acrylic paints in my work, mostly Golden acrylics. Magenta, turquoise, lime green, red, and yellow seem to be my favorites. I sometimes enhance the basecoat with watercolor crayons and various kinds of markers.
I’m really looking forward to seeing one of your faces become a painting soon!

    Hi Mary,
I took the petite dolls class last year and I am continuing that. I am taking the Goddess and the Poet class right now too! I’ll see you on the ning site!
