Today, I have been working on sketches for Suzi Blu’s class, Goddess and Poets. Here is one of the first sketches ala Suzi. This is a great discipline for me. I took the first Petite Dolls class she offered over a year ago. Those are more folk art type girls but the Goddess class stresses a more realistic girl.
Lovely face! I’ve been Petit-drawing for the past two days. My faces finally look like faces even if I’m only halway through the lesson 1! Unbelievable. I’ve never been able to draw a face.
Hi Mary, I just put a comment on your Suzi page, and then I came here–your faces are great–did you post any in the critique room? I feel like I’m back in school again–this class is a big discipline for me also. I posted one of my faces on my blog.
Looking good!
I did a whole series of self-portraits in my journal last fall – I find noses so incredibly difficult (of course, I blogged about it!!) but discovered I like drawing. I think I may have to do some more face drawing myself.
Thanks for sharing.
Cool drawing! I’m still thinking about that class.

It looks like a Suzi face, for sure! Much luck in your new class. I took a “Whimsy Art” online class last year with Artrader Magazine. It was fun.
