I finished this new collage today in my composition book. The background is acrylic paint and colored pencil. I stamped with bubble wrap. I love that cool effect. Then I used parts of a perfume ad for the main collage along with other magazine pieces. I also embellished with oil pastels to finish it.
Junk Mail, maps and magazine bits comprise most of this composition. It is enhanced with acrylic paint and colored ink. I also used colored pencils.
This collage has painted tissue overlay along with junk mail bits. I used acrylic paint on the background. I like the tissue paper effect because you can see the background underneath it. The black stamping was accidental, I was stamping something else and this page was under it.
I spent part of my morning looking at Jane’s videos on her website. I have her listed in “creative places to visit.” She does folk art paintings as well as making dolls. She carves her own linoprints to use for stamping. She has several videos on You Tube and also on her website. The video below shows how to use charcoal to shade your paintings. You can click over on the right hand side of her website side bar to find other videos. You will not be disappointed. I am very impressed with her mixed media work. You can check it out for yourself:

This is another Suzi Blu girl I finished this morning. I am going to have to learn when to stop with layering. That’s how one learns, I suppose. This is done on watercolor paper. I’m not feeling brave enough to try on wood yet. Suzi is keeping the workshop open until the end of the year when she will begin a different workshop.
This is an older collage from my composition book. I thought I’d post this here because I have been unable to work on collages lately as I have been working on girls for the Suzi Blu workshop. This piece has a watercolor wash background with various paper bits from junk mail and magazines.
This collage was completed yesterday. I used oil pastels and colored pencils to alter the magazine picture. Other collage elements are altered telephone book, acrylic paint and Bic “Mark it” black marker.
This latest collage in my composition book is composed of nautical snippets, copper foil tape, embellished phone book page plus other paper bits.
This collage page has acrylic paint background. I used black paint to make the spoke-like shapes. The page is embellished with copper foil tape and magazine bits.
